This bathroom design was created for a family of four and serves as the only bathroom on the second level. The client wanted a refreshed, brighter space. The existing shower, often referred to as 'the cave,' featured a Tuscan-style tiled archway that, while decorative, made the shower feel dark and uninviting. The redesign focused on opening up the space, incorporating glass panels, and adding a skylight to enhance natural light while maintaining privacy.

In the new design, we removed the archway and replaced it with glass side panels, creating a more open and inviting shower space. A skylight positioned above the shower enhances natural light while ensuring privacy, making the bathroom feel brighter and more spacious.

The design includes a spacious double-sink vanity with ample storage. To preserve the existing window and avoid disturbing the exterior asbestos shingles, a built-in medicine cabinet is positioned to the right of the sink, complemented by additional wall shelving to the left, which can optionally feature a mirrored door. Another potential solution is a sliding mirror system, similar to a barn door, allowing for flexible positioning along the wall.
An animation of the space was created to help the client visualize the design and ensure the layout flows well for their needs.
