Design Goals: Enhance kitchen storage and improve flow while maintaining the existing sink location. The client envisioned a modern aesthetic for the space.
he dishwasher is positioned to the left of the sink—though not my preferred placement for right-handed clients, it was the most practical solution given the space constraints and the need to accommodate other appliances while maintaining the sink’s existing location.
The cabinet style was inspired by a Pinterest favorite of the clients. I recreated the look in the design to help them visualize and decide if this was the direction they wanted to pursue.
The following is another cabinet front design the clients wanted to explore before making their final decision.
The following animation showcases the corner sink layout and the flat front cabinet style.
The animation below presents an alternative design layout. In this version, the sink is relocated along the wall, allowing the dishwasher to be positioned to the right of it. The peninsula has been removed, and a removable countertop is shown in front of the dining room window—providing a flexible space for casual seating or displaying a holiday spread.
