The goal of this design was to add some additional storage options, improve the flow of the kitchen and visualize a couple of different door designs. The client wanted to maintain the current sink location but add some much needed space between it and the dishwasher.
The dishwasher is located to the left of the sink, not my preferred location since the clients are right handed but with the limited space to fit in the other appliances and maintain the sinks location this was ended up making the most sense.
The cabinet style was a Pinterest favorite of the clients. I was able to recreate the look so they could determine if this was the direction they wanted to go with. In the above photo I show the peninsula with a 3" counter reveal and the counter by the sink is a 2" reveal to help the client decide on the thickness to go with.
The following is another cabinet front design the clients wanted to see before coming to a decision.
The following animation shows the corner sink layout and the flat front cabinet style.
The below animation is an alternative design layout. It relocates the sink along the wall which allows the dishwasher to be located to the right of the sink. The peninsula was eliminated and a removable countertop is shown in front of the dining room window. This could be used for casual seating or a place to layout a holiday spread.
